Who are you, where are you from and who does what?
We all hail from the north Essex banks of the infamous Thames Delta. Randy Ryan Willie Ward the 7th (acoustic guitar, harmonica) and Mr T Dog Reeves (electric guitar, banjo picker, keys) met at five-years-old, way down at Quilters Junior School, Billericay. The Reverend Greg Jebadiah Cletus (bass, backing vocals, keys) hooked up with the boys aged 12 at Billericay School, then Dark Bubba Dom 'The Drum' Bauers (drums, backing vocals, sometimes producer) was picked up on a dusty road a few years later.
What kind of musical sounds emanate from you?
We pretty much sound like a Royal Rumble wrestling match between Johnny Cash, Slim Cessna's Auto Club, Howlin' Wolf, Elvis, The Violent Femmes and a few other bands we treasure deep within our twisted souls.
In the big scheme of things, where do you fit in?
We found our sounds deep down in the ditch and we just about think that is where we lie – as far away from the middle of the road as we possibly can be.
What have you been up to recently?
Our self-titled EP is available now at shows, complete with pretty artwork from Deano Peppers. We have been playing around Essex and will shortly be performing some shows in London as well. We will also be playing the Leigh Folk Festival when the sun comes out to play.
Where can we see you play live soon?
April 5 at The Ship, Leigh-on-Sea; April 20 at Ginglik, Shepherds Bush; June 30 at, Peter Boat Stage, Leigh Folk Festival; plus lots more up in the Big Smoke over the summer.
Where can you get hold of our music?
People can listen to our EP sampler on our Facebook and Soundcloud pages, and can purchase a copy at gigs.
Anything else we should know about you?
If you want to witness the craziest Country Blues and most raucous Rockabilly this side of the Appalachian Mountains then come along to one of our shows. We are available to play anytime, anywhere, from short 30 minute sets to full 90 minute pub gigs. With a variety of originals and covers, we're not averse to mixing a bit of Hank Williams and Johnny Cash with Hillbilly and Honkytonk versions of The Clash and Motorhead.
