WEST Ham are considering a move for Algerian striker Islam Slimani according to reports in Portugal.
Slimani, who plays for Sporting Lisbon, is currently in Brazil representing Algeria at the World Cup, and scored in his country’s 4-2 win over South Korea yesterday.
The Hammers tried to land the 26-year-old on loan in January, but the move never got off the ground. Now, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo Sam Allardyce is ready to resurrect a move, but this time as a permanent switch.
In his debut season for Sporting his scored eight goals in 26 game, and is expected to a command a fee around £6.5m.
