FORCES Sweethearts have been wowing audiences since 1995 with their unique brand of music and song.

They return to Chelmsford's Civic Theatre on Tuesday, May 29 with a special Diamond Jubilee themed show.

Beryl, Carolyn and Jenny are the three sweethearts who bring a two hour show to audiences with favourite songs from the great female vocalists who helped raise morale during the war years of the 1940s.

As it's Jubilee year, Forces Sweethearts will also be celebrating the early 50s in style with their tribute to the Coronation through the music of the Demob Sweethearts, with great songs from Rosemary Cloony, Doris Day, and Alma Cogan.

And of course, the girls will be singing all the favourites from Vera Lynn, Gracie Fields, Marlene Dietrich, Carmen Miranda and Anne Shelton.

There'll also be a George Formby singalong and tributes to many other acts of the era.
